Celebrating Success

English Young Writers Competition - ‘Welcome to Wonderland’

During the Winter Term students were challenged to write a ‘Welcome to Wonderland’ story of no more than 100 words. The story had to be inspired by their world. They could create a parallel universe, re-write history, opt for sci-fi or fantasy realms, or even post- apocalyptic worlds. This competition was one of a series of 100 word stories organised by ‘Young Writers’. Our students have an excellent background in succeeding in these competitions, and this most recent round was our most successful yet. A huge number of our students’ stories were selected for publication, and the copies of their published stories will soon be available in the LRC. We couldn’t be prouder of the creative achievements of our students, and are excited to see even more success in the current ‘Welcome to Wonderland’ Young Writers competition – the deadline for which is the end of term!
