Course Content & Assessment
​
Year 9 History is a broad ranging course which is approached in a balanced way through the evaluation of historical evidence and specific areas of knowledge. In the first term students continue their exploration of the 18th and 19th centuries. The second term develops the global theme by evaluating the First World War including: the role of women and propaganda. The rest of the year is spent considering the emergence of Democracy and Dictatorship in Europe and a special investigation on the Holocaust.
