The Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Advanced GCE in Business is structured into four themes and consists of three externally examined papers which challenges students to investigate a wide range of real world business and economic events as they happen during the course.
Students are encouraged to use an enquiring, critical and thoughtful approach to the study of business, to understand that business behaviour can be studied from a range of perspectives and to challenge assumptions. Students are advised to have business newsfeeds to their phones or social media accounts or to read a range of business newspapers or websites on a daily basis.
Students are expected to present to the class constructively critical opinions on programmes such as the BBC Bottom Line, globally accredited Business Ted Talks and developments in their chosen study business. The sharing and critical discussion of current business issues supported by key theory allows students to develop presentation skills critically to success in higher education or in the decision making careers students would be expected to aspire to.
